Tam's ability to manage emotions was taken away from her. The show Firefly Glau was able to show off not only her acting ability but also her skills in fighting. The training she received as an assassin gave her the chance to utilize the full range of athletic skills she has. Summer Glau is a classically trained ballerina. She has also studied Flamenco and Tango, however her foot injury caused her to stop dancing. Firefly ran for only one year, but built an ardent fan base. So passionate that Whedon went back to it after a few years. Summer Glau was still getting high-quality work throughout the interim. She has appeared on television programs like Cold Case or CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
